Support, resistance & level

Mengapa harga tertahan di tempat yang sama untuk kedua kalinya, dan cara menggambar level yang juga bisa dilihat orang lain.

8 menit baca·Grafik & Eksekusi·2 pertanyaan kuis di akhir

Support is a price area where buying has repeatedly been strong enough to stop a fall. Resistance is where selling has repeatedly been strong enough to stop a rise. They are not magic lines; they are memory. Traders who bought at a level defend it, traders who missed it wait for a second chance there, and traders who were trapped there want out at break-even. All three groups act around the same price.

Draw levels as zones, not hairlines. Currency markets rarely reverse at a single decimal. Take the cluster of wicks and closes around a turning point and shade a band across it. If your level needs to be accurate to half a pip to work, it is not a level — it is a coincidence you noticed afterwards.

The strongest levels tend to have three properties: they were touched more than once, they produced a sharp reaction rather than a lazy drift, and they are visible on a higher timeframe. A daily level that has turned price three times over six months carries more weight than a fifteen-minute level from this morning, simply because more capital is watching it.

Lines drawn while you are already in a losing trade have a suspicious tendency to appear exactly where you need them.

Levels also flip roles. When resistance finally breaks and price holds above it, the same area often becomes support on the retest — the buyers who were trapped below are now defending their entry from the other side. That flip is one of the most common and most tradable behaviours in currency markets, and it is a natural home for a limit order and a stop just beyond the zone.

A final discipline: draw your levels before the session, then leave them alone. Lines drawn while you are already in a losing trade have a suspicious tendency to appear exactly where you need them.

Poin penting

Levels are zones built from repeated reaction, not exact prices. Higher-timeframe levels with sharp reactions carry the most weight, and broken resistance often becomes support.
